Hello I’m Gemma, a Bristol-based interior designer, upholsterer, seamstress and general lover of making and creating things.

I originally trained in fine art, completing a BA at UWE. From there I took on an apprenticeship in upholstery which led to me jointly running a successful domestic and commercial upholstery & drapery company for several years. During that time we visited the homes and premises of many clients, which served as a great introduction into understanding people's individual styles and the way they use a space.

My love for interiors has always been there, no more so than when designing my own home. I have loved designing every mad technicoloured inch of it, so that it both functions well as a family house (I’ve got three lovely kids to keep me on my toes!) and looks great. Although my own house is a riot of colour, I’m a big fan of all interiors and I really enjoy helping people find their own particular interior style, whether it’s minimalistic or full-on colourful madness.

I’ve worked with various builders over the years on a variety of projects, which has allowed me to understand the technical aspects of what goes into a building project and how the process works. Over time, I’ve developed a great contact list of trusted builders, architects and tradespeople.

Whether you want to refresh a single room or redesign a whole house, I can help every step of the way. From sourcing to finishing, or just coming round for a cuppa and helping you create a moodboard to start you on your journey of interior discovery, whatever stage in the process you’re at I’m ready to help.
