Hello, I'm Gemma

I'm a Bristol maker and artist working mainly in clay these days. I love the whole process, from making through to firing and glazing. I make hand-built pieces and bespoke commissions. I also run an afterschool clay club, where children get stuck in and make their own creations. Have a look around, and do say hello.

Ceramics

I hand-build every piece, from everyday pots and soap dishes to playful one-offs, and I love bringing colour and texture to the things we use and live with. I also take on commissions and personalised pieces, so do get in touch if you have something in mind.

After School Clay Club

Every week I run after-school clay clubs where children get properly immersed in clay. They learn the whole process, from shaping clay to firing and glazing, and take home pieces they have made themselves. I set it up to be affordable and relaxed, a calm, creative space that is good for wellbeing as well as for making. Alongside group sessions, I also work one-to-one with children.

Interiors are so important to the way we use our homes, offices and spaces. I love designing a space that not only looks great but has functionality at its core.
